Areas of Practice & Experience

Neonatology

With experience in both a level IV and a level II NICU, I have current clinical practical skills. As a charge nurse in the NICU setting I am responsible for attending “high risk” delivers and work hand in hand with the labor and department. Being clinically active I have hands on experience with the most up to date practices in neonatology and high risk infant delivery.

Emergency Department

As an emergency department nurse with experience from newborns to geriatrics, its is second nature to be able to multitask in emergent situations and provide well rounded systematic care.

Flight Nurse, Critical Care Transport

As a flight nurse, I cared for critically ill trauma victims as well as medically unstable hospitalized patients who required transport via helicopter, fix wing airplane and ambulance to high levels of care. As a first responder I had autonomy clinically as a nurse with an increased scope of practice. Being a first responder provided the ability to identify the scene of accident for causation and damages.

Expert in EMR

Having worked with EMR systems such as Cerner, Meditech and EPIC, I am able to navigate around the most popular EMR systems. With my experience with EMR systems I can ease the pain of deciphering records that often are confusing to interpret and seem unrelated to each eachother.

Skilled Nursing, Wounds

Before completing my RN degree, I was a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) working in a skilled nursing facility specializing in wound treatments. I was responsible for staying up to date with the most current wound treatments and implementing them into my facility setting. My skillset ranged from hospital acquired pressure ulcers, surgical wounds as well as diabetic ulcers.
